Event Horizon — A Synthwave Track Born From a Black Hole

EVENT HORIZON (Horizonte de Eventos)

This track wasn't written. It was derived.

It began with a simple question: what is a molecule? The answer led to Schrödinger's equation — the wave that describes all matter. From there, to water: two atoms of hydrogen sharing their electrons with one of oxygen. Then to a far darker equation — the Schwarzschild radius, Rs = 2GM/c², which gives the exact size of a black hole's event horizon: the point of no return, where an entire star collapses to three kilometers and not even light escapes.

From that cold, cosmic dread we wanted a sound — so we reached for the same instruments that haunt the 1980s: analog synthesizers, arpeggiated and pulsing, in the spirit of John Carpenter and SURVIVE. Pure keys. No vocals. Just the machine, singing back the void.

This is the story of how an equation became music.

— Instrumental synthwave / dark retrowave
— Inspired by the Schwarzschild radius, Rs = 2GM/c²
— athomic · from first principles
