Professor Robert Bartlett CBE is a renowned Historian and Medievalist. He is Bishop Wardlaw Professor of Medieval History Emeritus at the University of St Andrews.

Professor Bartlett's publications include The Making of Europe: Conquest, Colonization and Cultural Change, England under the Norman and Angevin Kings and Blood Royal: Dynastic Politics in Medieval Europe.

He has also presented acclaimed documentaries on the BBC including Inside the Medieval Mind, The Normans and The Plantagenets.

His most recent work Blood Royal: Dynastic Politics in Medieval Europe is available through Cambridge University Press.
