Территории Московской области находится на стыке лесной и лесостепной зоны. На севере региона леса расположены на восьмидесяти процентах площади, на юге – 18-20%. Именно тут простилаются поля и пастбища.

Ближе к центру пейзаж сменяется хвойно-широколиственными лесами, с ярко выраженным подлеском, обилием трав и мхов. Южная часть представлена мелколиственными породами. Типичными для ландшафта являются берёза, ива, ольха, рябина.

The southern part is represented by small-leaved species. Typical for the landscape are birch, willow, alder, rowan.
