Destiny 2 - Solo Xenophage Quest, for the Mildly Inept (part 2)

How to get the Xenophage exotic machine gun, without fancy gear or skills. Part 2 of 2.

Some notes on the video:

Part 1 (https://youtu.be/8j5YieUtU4U) showed how to get the quest and do the initial puzzles. This shows the final parts, which take place in the Pit of Heresy. The first encounter is the most difficult part, less because the fights are hard than that it's long and you will lose all progress if you die.

Dungeon checkpoints are wiped at the weekly reset on Tuesday morning, so if you expect to take a break between the two encounters, don't start playing on Monday night.

Important facts to keep in mind:
- Ogres lurk on bridges and occasionally near room entrances. They do not heal or respawn.
- Bosses do not heal or leave their rooms.
- Rune sword carriers (Accursed Swordbearers and Heretical Knights) spawn in non-boss rooms and on bridges.
- Other enemies also spawn on bridges, generally when you're on or near them. Be very careful when moving across a bridge.

Some things I learned the hard way:
- Don't stop when you reach the chest at the end of the first encounter. Keep going until you activate the stone in the wall of doors to advance the quest to the next stage. If you return to orbit, the game puts you at the start of the 2nd encounter, and it's difficult or impossible to get back... and you have to run the 1st encounter again.
- Elevators can still kill you. (Not recorded; was on an elevator platform at the bottom level, under fire from nearby enemies; something went wonky and the Architects got me. I learned this on my 2nd run, after discovering the item above.)
- If you die during the Volmâr fight, you start back at the checkpoint for the 2nd encounter, but you don't need to re-light the plates. The door will be open, so you can just run in past the Ogre and try again.
