How does a Lee 4000 progressive press in 9mm in action work with a case feeder and bullet feeder.

The Bullet feeder does not work well. If the bullets are stacked slightly off center they can shake loose and stream out like a waterfall. I spent more time fixing problems than loading ammo. If you go slow with this press and watch your primer, and use a mirror to make sure each case has powder and watch each station with every stroke of the handle, you can load faster than single stage press and not have to change dies or measure powder. Feed the bullets by hand; it makes you watch your progress. Make sure your cases are upright as they feed into the resizing station. Make sure there is not an errant case coming out of the feeder, it will crush and it will damage the plastic runway. I'd say you can honestly load 100 rounds per hour when you have it running smoothly. And you will produce very good loads. The powder dispenser is remarkably accurate; you will be better than 1/2 of a tenth grain. If I adjust my powder dispenser to be very in the middle of say 4.6 grains of pistol powders, in 10 measured throws I will rarely measure 4.5 or 4.7 gr. and if I do, it is so close to 4.6 it is negligible.
YOU NEED A FINISHED CASE GAGE such as shockbottle or the one from Ben Stoeger, Hundo 100 round case gage. This is crucial if you are not trimming cases. Regardless of your loading press. It will save you a lot of grief. It is $100 but if it saves you from messing up one shooting stage it is worth it.
