Woody recently started a pie business and was enjoying great success, making Buzz jealous. In a fit of envy, Buzz stole Woody's secret recipe. Woody quickly discovered the theft and took the recipe back, but Buzz had already stolen away the competition. To win back the crowd, Woody decided to blast some rock music to draw attention back to his stall.

Created by Walter Lantz on the Universal Pictures lot in 1940, Woody Woodpecker is one of the most memorable cartoon characters in animation history.

Woody and his pals have entertained the world now for over 80 years. Forever pecking his way out of trouble, Woody has earned his status as a true Pop Culture Icon. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Walter Lantz won an honorary Oscar for Woody in 1979.

In 2018 Universal Pictures International and Universal 1440 Entertainment produced ten brand New Woody Woodpecker cartoons, all available on YouTube. Once again, Woody and his pals were a hit with audiences and a further ten new adventures were released in 2020.
