Brief look at my DIY compost toilet, located in the garden shed. Based on a Separett Privy 500 urine separating unit (http://littlehouse.co - UK & Ireland only) and with a 12 volt computer fan running off a solar panel to remove smells and dry the contents. Compost (dry) toilets use no water and can create excellent compost - incredibly green credentials! Also available are ready-made units (that look more like ordinary flushing loos) that can be installed in your house, shed, allotment, boat, camper van etc.
