How To Hear Chord Progressions Better | EAR TRAINING
Training your ear to quickly recognize chord progressions is a complex process, one that I've been working on my entire life as a musician.
In this video I'll demonstrate a simple version of my approach to really "hearing the chord changes" within a jazz tune. I used a typical I-VI-ii-V chord progression, but this can be applied to any chord progression, no matter how crazy it is.
I use this technique when I'm listening to music as well, as it helps me figure out chords when I don't have an instrument in front of me. It will help you understand the inner voice leading that is so helpful to improvising over moving harmony, and hopefully make you a better musician!
