Core training many times ends up being a ton of reps of crunches and ____ (insert whatever most people do at the gym). If you're happy with your results then go ahead and continue with what you have been doing.
I'll have you consider that "core" training is a lot more than crunches. I'd go further and say most people should drop what they are doing and implement core principles and strategies that will help you correct posture, improve strength, movement, AND improve your core along with how your abs look.
This is not an all encompassing list but in my experience these exercises have helped 100's of our clients and I'd have you consider that skipping out on them is an opportunity lost.
Pay attention to the coaching and cues for the exercises as that is a part of what improves the results!
