How Do Astronauts Weigh Themselves in Space? (No Gravity Experiment). #space #spaceexploration

Ever wondered how astronauts check their weight on the International Space Station? There’s no gravity to stand on a scale! Instead, they measure mass using clever physics. Objects (and astronauts) are pushed or oscillated, and scientists study how they respond to the force.
The more mass something has, the harder it is to move. In this experiment, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot worked inside the Microgravity Measurement Device (MMD) facility during the Epsilon mission to demonstrate exactly how it’s done. In orbit, everything is in free fall — so instead of weight, we rely on motion and resistance.

Mind-blowing, right? What’s the coolest space fact you’ve learned lately? Drop it in the comments!
