This show did not get nearly the recognition it deserved. Galavant was An entire musical comedy with lyrics by the immortal Alan Menkin (Little Shop of Horrors) that ran for 2 seasons on ABC. Very Aware of itself. (Also the same kind of comedy songwriting I'm using in the musical...which I did send a longer email, since you asked, but the two sentence summary is: "Florida man is trying to become a Superhero. It's Not Going Well." "You blew up the supermarket!" "But it was full of bees!" "YOU BROUGHT THE BEES!!") Anyway. Anything from Galavant is well worth checking out.
