Dominic Cummings, a senior aide to Boris Johnson, held a press conference on Monday after it emerged he drove to and from Durham during the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.

Mr Cummings refused to apologise for his actions, which many believe showed flagrant disregard for the lockdown that his own government enforced, and instead offered a 14-minute statement to justify his actions.
