Polaris Sportsman Hauling Wood/ ATV Firewood Gathering: the "not so fun" part

Out in the bush again breathing in some fresh air and burning off some winter insulation. Just as the snow is nearly gone and the frost is still in the ground, I make use of the solid soil conditions to bring some firewood up to the house for splitting from a rather sketchy wet area of the property. With the ground frozen still, the ATV is the perfect choice for moving the wood up the sketchy hill in order to avoid big ruts on the trails. Watch as I show you the "not so fun" part of firewood gathering and the challenges that can be faced when deciding to heat your home with wood. With a steady supply of dead-standing trees around here, I'll surely be able to keep myself as busy as my body allows. No need for the gym when you've gathering your own firewood as you'll see in this video as I huff and puff my way through this laborious task. I can't complain though, the sounds of spring are here and the bugs are still weeks away. Just have to remember to keep the "thumb to the bar". Here we go!
