James Woods presents the 2017 Writers Guild Laurel Award for Screenwriting to Oliver Stone

Oscar-nominated actor James Woods (Salvador, Nixon) presents the 2017 Writers Guild of America, West Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement to Academy and WGA Award-winning screenwriter-director Oliver Stone (Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, JFK).

The Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony was hosted by actor-writer-comedian Patton Oswalt (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Veep) on February 19, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

The Writers Guild Awards honor outstanding writing in film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio, promotional, and graphic animation categories.

The Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement is given to that Writers Guild member who has advanced the literature of the motion picture through the years, and who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of the screenwriter.
