DSpace CRIS metadata granular permission

In this video we explore the granular permissions that are available in DSpace-CRIS. Compared to the basic DSpace, DSpace-CRIS allows you to manage metadata at a more granular level; it is possible to restrict access to some metadata to specific users by mean of DSpace Groups or on the basis of the functional role that the user has on the item (author, investigator, director, etc.). Moreover, when needed it is possible to configure some metadata to leave the user under control of access to Indvidual value, restricting a specific email address, the birth date, etc. to selected users, make them private or public. This level of granularity helps to keep metadata safer and more organized guaranteeing compliance with privacy regulation and handling sensitive information.
