BEFORE RETIN A: MINERAL SUNSCREEN FAVORITES

I've had so many questions about starting Retin A...MY first question is always "what sunscreen are you using?" The MOST important step of any anti aging/pro aging/healthy skin care regimen is consistent, DAILY use of a high SPF, Broad Spectrum Sunscreen.

This video is mineral sunscreen 101 and I come up with a variety of recommendations from drug store budget to higher end medical grade.

Sunscreen in foundation is a bonus...NOT to be relied upon for daily sun protection.

UVA = Aging and pigmentation (look zinc oxide 10% minimum to protect against UVA)
UVB = Burning, damaging, skin cancer.

Zinc protects against both UVA and UVB. Titanium Dioxide only protects against UVB. Not UVA

Broad Spectrum means both UVA/UVB are covered.
