KILLER ONE-POCKET: Efren REYES vs Nick VARNER - 1999 (1st Annual) DERBY CITY CLASSIC ONE-POCKET DIV

ONE-POCKET – “The Magician” Efren Reyes, 45, and the “Kentucky Colonel” Nick Varner, 50, were contestants in Diamond Billiards’ first Derby City Classic in 1999. Reyes’ major title up to that point was the 1994 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships. Varner was the runner-up at that same U.S. Open, but earlier in 1989, he won the U.S. Open 9-Ball title as well as the World 9-Ball Open. In 1999, both were considered some of the best at one-pocket.
