Cover - Separate Lives

Many years ago, I decided that I wanted to record a duet with a female singer. The song I chose was, "Separate Lives" by Phil Collins. Through the years I never found a singer that was able to pull it off.

Recently, during one of my live broadcasts, I happened to mention this to the listeners, and a fellow who calls himself, "Optomod" in the chat room mentioned that he had a neighbour who was a professional singer, and that she would he glad to record this with me. The only obstacle that we had to face was that they both live on the other side of the world from me, in New Zealand.

Amazingly, she had never heard the song, being that she is still quite young (a teenager), but a few listens and she was laying down the tracks in Optomod's studio in New Zealand, I recorded my parts here in Canada. The girl, Leilani Taula and I had never met or even spoken to eachother, yet we managed to do a duet that I think you may enjoy.

We were not able to record any video, so I just threw together some facebook pictures for this video. We hope you like it.
