ROLEX Oyster Perpetual Explorer. Hands-on new 36 mm Oystersteel & Rolesor version.
#Rolex #RolexExplorer #RolexOysterPerpetual @ROLEX
This is the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer! First it was presented in 1953 in a size of 36 mm. Over the years the Explorer got bigger and it was lastly sold in a size of 39 mm. Now, at 36 mm, it returns to the size of the original model launched 68 years ago. In our 4-K-video we present you the “Oystersteel“ and “Rolesor” version (= combining “Oystersteel” and 18 carat yellow gold).
We filmed at the Rolex HQ in Geneva the first time in April, when we presented you the brands novelties 2021. I am sure you watched these 4K-videos yet. Unfortunately, we couldn't show you all the novelties at that time and we had to film watches without movements. Why? Some of the watches weren't released yet and therefore not shown to us and no watches with movements were available.
Last week, September 1st, we came back to Geneva and we now filmed them all! In 4K! Full functioning, including the Rolex 32xx & 4130 calibres…
These are the four new videos you will discover on our channel:
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Explorer II white & black dial ( https://youtu.be/awOdrvmo-Lc )
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer steel & steel/gold (the one you are actually watching)
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph "Daytona" with meteorite dial in white-, yellow- & "Everose"-pink-gold (will be released soon)
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 in four different new executions with either "Jubilee" or "Oyster" bracelet. (will be released soon)
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer Rolesor: 10.300 CHF incl. 7,7 % VAT.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer Oystersteel: 6.100 CHF incl. 7,7% VAT
The black dial, now lacquered, bears the index hour markers and 3, 6 and 9 numerals that are the cornerstones of the model’s personality. The new-generation Explorer’s Chromalight display is particularly impressive. In dark conditions, the intensity of the blue glow emitted by the hour markers and hands now lasts longer thanks to the innovative and exclusive luminescent material with which they are filled or coated. In daylight, these display elements also have a brighter white hue.
The new-generation Explorer is equipped with calibre 3230, released in 2020. It incorporates the “Chronergy” escapement patented by Rolex, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability. Made of nickel-phosphorus, it is also insensitive to magnetic fields. The movement is fitted with an optimized blue “Parachrom” hairspring, manufactured by Rolex in a paramagnetic alloy that makes it up to 10 times more precise than a traditional hairspring in case of shocks. The blue Parachrom hairspring is equipped with a Rolex overcoil, ensuring the calibre’s regularity in any position. The oscillator is fitted on the Rolex-designed and -patented high-performance “Paraflex” shock absorbers, increasing the movement’s shock resistance. Calibre 3230 is equipped with a self-winding module via a “Perpetual” rotor. Thanks to its barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency, the power reserve of calibre 3230 extends to approximately 70 hours.
