HOT NEW LG V20 Review

HOT NEW LG V20 Review
The LG V20 records really high-quality audio and features a swappable battery and secondary wide-angle lens.
In addition to its G5 flagship, LG has another family of high-end phones known as the V series. The latest member of the lineup is the V20.
Along with a large 5.7-inch display, the device has a secondary screen that sits at the top right (just like its V10 predecessor).
The screen displays your custom signature or text greeting, favorite and recent apps, your favorite contacts and notifications.
You can choose to have this screen perpetually on (even if your device is sleeping).
For the V20, LG increased the screen's contrast and brightness so it's easier to read.
To swap out your SIM card or 3,200mAh battery, there's a small release button on the right side of the handset that ejects the back plate easily.
The button looks like a power button, but it actually pops off the back cover.
Press here to take off the back cover.
Keep pressing and lift up to take off the back cover.
The back plate is made out of metal and having a removable battery is one of the standout features LG boasts about.
Similar to the G5, the V20 has two shooters on the back: A 16-megapixel standard lens and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens that can capture up to 135 degrees.
You also have a lot of options for manual control.
The handset has advanced optical image stabilization technology too, available exclusively from Qualcomm, to make it easier to snap clear photos even when you have an unsteady hand.
On the front is a single 5-megapixel camera that can switch between a 120-degree wide-angle setup and a narrower 83-degree frame.
Another attempt at taking a wide-angle selfie.
For video, there are fun filters you can apply.
The device comes in titan, silver (shown here) and pink (though the pink variant won't come to the US). It features an aluminum and polycarbonate body.
Though a few Nexus devices have already received Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat update over the air and the Google Pixel phones have 7.1, the V20 will have Nougat right out of the box.
LG still put some of its own touches to the interface, however, including the icons.
A few hardware specs include a Snapdragon 820 processor, 64GB of internal memory, 4GB of RAM and a USB Type-C connection port.
On the back is a fingerprint reader for extra security. Along with its NFC chip inside, the phone can also carry out digital payments with fingerprint authorization.
The scanner also doubles as the power/sleep button.
Audio is a big deal with the V20. Plug in your headset to get to these extra-fine controls.
