Anthony Albanese slammed over stage three tax cuts promise

Sky News host Paul Murray slams the Albanese Labor government over its changing positions on the stage three tax cuts.

“What was legislated over multiple years, discussed over multiple elections, was going to result in a lifting of the tax-free threshold,” Mr Murray said.

“Which meant those who were at the absolute bottom of the income scheme they were paying even less tax.

“Those starting to move up to the middle, well they would get a tax cut.

“And then people over 80,000 … 180,000 as well, well they would end up getting a tax cut but as you know the prime minister was never going to change those, was he?”
