Muscles of the Face & Neck

Formation of facial expressions is by a complex interaction between the facial muscles and the facial nerves. The muscles that control facial expression are attached to the skull and are mostly located in the region around the orbit orbits and the mouth. Just as other skeletal muscles, they attach to bones via connective tissue.
