In the rich and storied history of Chinese art, landscape painting has always served as one of the most important components. "Autumn Colors on Mountains and Rivers," by Zhao Boju of the Song Dynasty, is considered the pinnacle of turquoise landscape painting from that period. It outlines the peaks and mountains as well as the sluggish autumn sun with delicate brush strokes, while displaying the hustle and bustle of daily life. The painting, which appears in the form of a long scroll, expresses the richness and fullness of nature, while also embodying the typical characteristics of Song Dynasty landscape painting. Produced by China Media Group, the cultural program "China in Poetry and Painting" invites Lou Wei, deputy curator of the Palace Museum, to share the elegance and beauty of this genre of Chinese landscape painting, showing how "painting is silent poetry, and poetry is the audible form of painting."
