Montreal's Most Famous Neighborhood - Le Plateau-Mont-Royal 2020

Le Plateau-Mont-Royal or simply, the Plateau; is Montreal’s most famous, hippest and trendiest neighborhood located just east of Mount Royal. The laid-back Plateau area is known as a young, student-friendly neighborhood with streets full of charming townhouses, cafes, busy bars, restaurants and cool shops.

I spent some time at Mount Royal Park where the weekly Tam-Tams are taking place. Then I moved to quiet streets such as Esplanade, St-Dominique, Colonial, Bullion, and Hotel-de-Ville to film row houses that were built between 1880’s and 1900’s. I also spent some time on St-Laurent and St-Denis which are busy commercial streets in the area. And to finish off, I spent the rest of the afternoon on Mont-Royal Avenue, the most vibrant street in the Plateau.

If you’re visiting Montreal, I highly recommend spending some time at the Plateau.
