Lakeland Police Officers Salsa at Polk County Hispanic Festival

Such fun! Lakeland Police Department Motor Officer Molina and Officer Perez join in the dancing at the Lakeland Hispanic Festival.

We often have officers at large public events like this one to meet with citizens and build positive relationships within our community. At this event for example, we had officers giving tours of the mobile operations center, offering kids the opportunity to go inside the SWAT vehicle and sit on a police motorcycle for photos. We also had crime prevention specialists fitting kids for free bike helmets. Our police department believes in community policing and getting out and interacting with our residents.
