Seiko Japanese clock before and after

This 30-day wall clock was made by the Seiko clock company in Japan approximately in the mid to late 1950s. You only have to wind it twelve times a year. Isn't that neat? This clock strikes the half-hour and hour on two chime rods together. This clock has a nice calendar feature as well as the days of the week in Japanese. I got this clock from a good friend of mine in June 2008. This video shows the clock before the repairs in November 2015 and after the repairs in 2016. You can hear the White Breasted Nuthatch on my bird clock in the background in the after video. The Seiko wall clock was working fine until the first few months into 2016, when the striking mechanism was struggling to strike. I don't think it was serviced before, but I decided to take it to Windsor Clock and Watch to get repaired. Thanks to the folks there, this clock is working better than ever. At first, I thought it was a mantel clock, but I saw that it was a wall clock according to the repair. I saw the hanger on top of the clock. It can be placed on a mantel, too.
