Atari 1010 Tape Drive revival - Hacking a scrap 9VDC supply to deliver 9VAC

Found this old tape drive in my in-law's basement. My friend was in need of such a drive as his is on the blink. Maybe another video coming for that one.

The goal was to see if this one would work and let him try it out.

The odd part is that they use 9VAC as opposed to DC for power which is not common to find these days. In absence of the original supply, a DC scrap unit was hacked and repurposed.
