Beginner Mandarin Chinese: How to say birthday in Chinese with eChineseLearning

Last time Bonnie showed you how to say the date in Chinese. It isn't the same way to talk about birthdays "生日 (shēngrì)" so that's what we are doing today!

Here are the keywords and phrases to easily learn how to talk about birth dates.
1. 我的 (wǒ de): means "my".

2. 生日 (shēngrì): means "birthday".

3. 你的 (nǐ de): means "your."

Ex) Wǒ de shēngrì shì
我 的 生日 是...
My birthday is on...

So can you tell me when your birthday is?

Examples:

Wǒ de shēngrì shì sān yuè èrshí yī rì.
我 的 生日 是 3 月 21 日。
My birthday is on March 21st.


So now I will tell you about my birthday and then you can tell me the date.

Wǒ de shēngrì shì shíyī yuè èrshíliù rì.
我 的 生日 是 11 月 26 日。
My birthday is on November 26th.


Nǐ de shēngrì shì
你的 生日 是...
Your birthday is on...

Note:

你 (nǐ): Third tone, means "you."
