The tournament is held mainly at Rajadamnern Stadium in Thailand, one of the two major Muay Thai halls.
In Japan, the tournament is held mainly at Korakuen Hall, where Japanese champions are recognized, and
current world champions and world rankers are invited to participate in WPMF, IBF Muay Thai, and WMO world title matches.

After retiring, former Rajadamnern Stadium Bantamweight Champion Winai Naksin became a promoter and founded Sukwankinthong in Saraburi Province, Thailand.
March 1999: Becomes a certified event at Rajadamnern Stadium.
November 2017: Winai Naksin's son, Nuttapong Naksin, became the promoter in Japan and started Sukwankinthong Japan Tour.
In 2018, we invited many current Raja champions and held world title matches and ranking matches certified by Rajadamnern Stadium.
In 2020, Suk Wan Kinthong will be moving from Rajadamnern Stadium as his affiliated Petchyindee Group (a major promoter in Thailand) will become independent and begin holding its own events.
In 2021, nine-time Muay Thai champion Chamoaphet was appointed supervisor of the Sukwankinthong Samakleng (amateur tournament) and, as a result of being recognized as the amateur champion, will hold a ranking title match.
