Saraswathi Veena Making Stage 1 - Part 2

This video is in continuation of the first part of Veena making. Veena is a string instrument which is practiced for several years. Veena is one of the most popular classical instruments of South India, which is basically made in Thanjavur. Skilled and expert artisans are involved in the making of Veena. The making process begins with carving a single log of wood into veena’s base. Jackfruit wood is used to make the veena. The making process is very much precise and it takes at least 3 to 4 days to complete one complete veena. Jackfruit wood is used for making Veena.
