Forging a PUNISHER KATANA from scrap metal

Hello everyone and welcome back to the forge! In today's episode, I am excited to share my entry into the B&B Forge #2020toiletpaperrailroadspikeapocalypticchallenge. For this challenge, I used 2 railroad spikes to form the Tsuba, upper and lower spacer, and I used the head of the spike to forge a skull pommel. Sticking with the reclaimed steel theme I used a piece of A-996-60 grade rebar for the katana blade, which is classified as rail and axle steel comparable to a 1070-1080 steel. I finished it up with some scrap red leather from an old jacket, some old wood for the handle and carved the Menuki from some old brass fittings I bought at the store awhile ago. This sword should work great to protect my TP stash and aid in gathering more if needed LOL! This was an awesome experience and a lot of fun to take part in. Get out, Heat some steel, Beat it with a hammer, and always remember to have fun.
