2003 Ohio Central Steam - Moving LS&I 2-8-0 #33 from Nelsonville to Coshocton

In 2003 Jerry Jacobson (then) owner/CEO of the Ohio Central Railroad purchased former Lake Superior & Ishpeming 2-8-0 Consolidation #33 from the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. The OC sent a locomotive, crew car Conneaut and two boxcars to tow the locomotive to Coshocton.
The video picks up the train moving west (compass north) on Indiana & Ohio trackage (former C&O) through Enterprise, Ohio just west of Logan. This line was originally built by the Columbus, Hocking Valley & Toledo railroad in the 1870s. Other shots are just south of Lancaster, a crossing in Groveport and entering CSX Parson's Yard before seeing it pass Nationwide Arena and under the 3rd Street viaduct in downtown Columbus. The last daylight video is crossing I-270 near Port Columbus (John Glenn) Airport.
My next video will include some of the restoration work that was performed on this locomotive at Morgan Run shops.
