Petal Credit Card Review | Petal 1 vs Petal 2 (Which is BEST?)

In this video, we review the Petal 1 and Petal 2 credit cards, going over their main features. We talk about what's similar, different, and the pros of both the Petal 1 and Petal 2 cards. By the end of this video, you should have a better idea of which Petal credit card is the right one for you.

Petal 1 is a credit card mainly for those with fair credit history, or those without any credit history at all. This is a no frills credit card with a more limited credit that will be given to your account. While there is a $29 or $40 late payment fee, there are no annual fees, nor are there any foreign transaction fees. You also have the ability to earn 2-10% cash back through the app with the Petal 1 credit card.

The Petal 2 credit card, on the other hand, does earn 1-1.5% cash back, even if there isn't an offer in the app for 2-10% cash back.

At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with either of these Petal credit cards; obviously, the Petal 2 credit card has more upside, given their (up to) 1.5% cash back structure and no fees. Of course, both of these Petal cards are mainly for building your credit score, and helping you establish a credit history of on time payments. If you can utilize either of these Petal credit cards in a good fashion, you should be able to move on to other cards with better benefits within a year or two.
