I tried making a DIY knit door draft stopper. It works.

This is a do-it-yourself knit door draft stopper! I knit it for our front door because it was super drafty and I was tired of seeing the light come through. It is also more sustainable because it lets out less of our AC/heating. Woo #sustainableliving !

I just made this up, but I am using worsted weight yarn (think Vanna's Choice or anything similar) and size 9 needles. The pattern is just stockinette:
Row 1: Slip first stich knitwise, knit to end of row
Row 2: Slip first stich purlwise, purl to end of row
Repeat rows 1 & 2 to desired length

I then took an old pillowcase I had laying around and rolled it up with the knitting tube surrounding it, then sewed it all up! This gives the door stopper some weight and also allows it to be machine-washable (which is great for a door stopper, imo).

Let me know what you think! This is totally a new idea to me, as we just moved into a house for the first time, so leave any improvement ideas or thoughts down below!
