Unreal4 - 4.26 Preview - New physics - Chaos Vehicle
Taking a quick look at some initial updates of the new chaos vehicle phsyics class in Unreal 4.26
definitely looks very promising, they added a lot of great new stuff like
- more controls for suspension
- more parameters for tires
-abs & esp ( currently doesn't' seem to be working)
really like where this is going, but yeah, need to wait for updates on this one, things that are currently broken
- when standing still, I turn wheels and leave it there, they don't go back, but as soon as I start driving, physics kicks in and they snap ( probably optimization issue, where certain stuff needs to be constantly updated)
- getting strange steering behavior where steerign is limited by my steering curve, but if I steer too much to a point where tires lose a grip, steering curve gets ignored and steering wheels ( visually) snap to full lock
