Derral Eves YouTube Algorithm Training | Orlando, FL 2019

YouTube and video consultant Derral Eves has been conducting amazing free training sessions as part of his 'Creators Helping Creators Meetups' project. This was the Orlando, Florida event on March 12, 2019. I'm so glad Derral provided this opportunity to meet him in person and learn about the YouTube algorithm areas such as click-through rate, audience retention time, discovery, and sharing his best tips and strategy for the platform.

This nearly two hour long video is most of the training, a few parts are missing due to changing out camera batteries and whatnot. Due to the lighting situation, it is hard to read what's on the projection screen. I was not expecting to be able to record this, so the production quality is not cinematic - just hoping to share this with anyone who isn't able to make it to a meetup or wants to replay the experience later.

If you're able to make a future event, I would HIGHLY recommend you do whatever you can to get there. Derral answered lots of our questions, did channel evaluations, and even fed us pizza and took photos with the group. Networking with other YouTubers is also incredibly important to building this community.
