HANGING 'HIPPY HEARTS' DECORATION
These 2 dimensional (2D), embellished hearts are completely unique, making them a wonderful project with a difference.
Each heart is made to build in size (small, medium & large). They are sewn onto a ribbon of your choice, backed with felt and finished with a pretty and unique little tassel.
I have designed the Love Hearts using the fabulous beautiful Butterfly Stitch, which gives a beautiful, yet simple embellishment and definition. We will be decorating the hearts for this project, using a crochet, embroidery technique, named ‘Surface Chain Stitch; Finally I have designed the edging for a simple, yet effective finish using the crab stitch (Reverse Single Crochet Stitch).
This project is easy & quick to make, great for using up your ‘odds and ends’ of scrap yarn. The 2D hearts are hugely versatile and can be used as basic motifs, adding additional detail to a project or as separate hanging hearts.
