The NewZealand Story on PC Engine is one of the cutest — and toughest — retro platformers ever made! In this gameplay / longplay, we take a look at Taito’s classic arcade hit running on NEC’s legendary PC Engine.

Play as Tiki the Kiwi and battle through challenging stages, tricky enemies, balloons, UFOs, and maze-like levels to rescue your captured kiwi friends. Despite its colourful graphics and adorable style, The NewZealand Story is surprisingly difficult and packed with hidden secrets.

Originally released by Taito, this PC Engine version is considered by many retro fans to be one of the best home conversions of the arcade original.
