In reality NSDL has not much to do with its valuations! Primarily because its follows market sentiment!

When market sentiment is positive- The value of shares kept /deposited at NSDL automatically rise + people become less apprehensive and they invest more as a result the value of total deposited shares rise and this leads to more fees collected by NSDL leading to increase in its revenue.

As a result whenever the market sentiment turns positive, this stock starts performing.

Moreover NSDL is taking many steps to increase its OPM and due to those steps only we got to see how number of BO Accounts increased, in a situation where entire industry was contracting.

So yes that's the basic mental model of a classic capital market stock which also has a huge moat of it being a Duo-poly !
