World's first electric harvester - Malwa Electric

Swedish forest machine manufacturer Malwa Forest has made a new CTL combi machine (harvester and forwarder). It's 100% powered by batteries and two electric motors and is probably the first full electric forest machine. It's powered by two batteries: one of 30 kWh and another one of 11 kWh. The big battery is replaceable, and the operator can switch from an empty to a fully charged battery in less than a minute. The small battery is used to power the crane while the big battery is disconnected.

This machine is a concept machine and it's not yet available on the market. But it's feasible to build it and Malwa believes there is a small demand for such a machine.
