Faridabad Terror Module: Kanpur Cardiologist Detained Over Links To Arrested Doctor | India Today

A cardiology student, Dr. Arif Mir, has been detained in Kanpur in a joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS), Special Task Force (STF), and the Delhi Police Special Cell. The detention is part of a wider investigation into a Faridabad terror module linked to a car blast near Delhi's Red Fort. Agencies are investigating Dr. Arif's alleged communication with Dr. Shaheen Shahid, another doctor arrested in the case. According to the transcript, the landlord stated the doctor identified himself as a cardiologist from Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities are now interrogating Dr. Arif to determine his potential role in the terror plot. The probe is part of a multi-state operation that has uncovered a network of medical professionals allegedly involved with terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed.
