How to Overcome Procrastination Like a Pro - How to Stop Being Lazy - Part 1
How to overcome procrastination? How to stop being lazy? How to get more done?
Three things that have helped me a lot.
1. You don’t want to act. Act anyway. Observe how this emotion is one of satisfaction and contentment, and observe how it is so different from the regular emotion of guilt that you feel when you don’t act. Most light days, when I can get so much done, I don’t do anything. On the other hand, when I have so much work, I can get done so much extra work. Action brings you into an active state.
2. What gets written gets improved. Break down your goal into an action plan, and record your success/failure in abiding by that action plan. You will want to do good. When you do, reward yourself. Even if you can’t think of how to reward yourself, the feeling of success will be award enough.
3. Get rid of distractions. Make it difficult for yourself to get distracted. Different work and home accounts on laptop. Put away your phone.
You don’t have to put effort into this indefinitely. By doing this you will become habitual of being an active person.
