Tina McElroy Ansa is the author of five novels, runs a small press, directs writers retreats and produces movies with her filmmaker husband Jonee' Ansa. But above all, she is a storyteller. Her works include fiction, op-ed page pieces, essays, book reviews and a stint writing and presenting Postcards From Georgia on CBS Sunday Morning. She has survived hurricanes blowing past St. Simons Island, her home off the coast of Georgia; 12 years of Catholic schools; three different publishing houses; 33 years of marriage and the three-week Unchained Bus Tour of storytelling in October 2010. Tina is at work on her sixth novel. As importantly, she always has collard greens and moonflowers growing in the Georgia soil outside her home's door.
