The final moments of the BBC HD Channel

The BBC HD Channel ended its last day of programming with Professor Brian Cox's Wonders of the Solar system. After that, there was no final goodbye words from the announcer, no nothing (recorded message doesn't count). This was really quite surprising, when you compare it to how the BBC News channel was moving out of its old studios in Television Centre a week earlier - then they would let everyone know about it.
BBC HD has been replaced with the HD version of BBC Two.
