Convection

Convection currents are demonstrated by heating the air inside a hollow tube. The direction of flow is observed using a slitted paper strip.

Equipment:
- Large Bunsen burner
- Hollow metal tube with wire mesh
- Safety gloves
- Paper strip slitted
