When Vidit Gujrathi got the better of world no.2 Ding Liren | Chess Super League

Vidit Gujrathi playing for Brutal Bishops got into trouble early on in the opening against Ding Liren (Pivotal Pawns). But the India no.2 was in great fighting mood as he didn't give his Chinese opponent anything on the platter.

Ding Liren lost his patience and exchanged the queens. Vidit heaved a sigh of relief and then began his fight back. He played a powerful move ...f5 and Vidit's resistance was so good that Ding Liren blundered.

A great victory for Vidit, who seems to be in wonderful form at the Chess Super League 2021.
