ArtistWorks Celebrates 10 Years of Bluegrass Online Music Lessons!

In 2011, we welcomed Grammy Award-winning guitarist Bryan Sutton, bluegrass mandolin icon Mike Marshall, upright bass virtuoso Missy Raines, and legendary fiddle player Darol Anger to our faculty of instructors. Alongside world-renowned banjo player Tony Trischka, this amazing group of master musicians made up our ArtistWorks “Academy of Bluegrass.”

While we no longer use the “Academy of Bluegrass” name, every one of these world-class instructors still teaches bluegrass music lessons here at ArtistWorks. In fact, we’ve even continued to expand our roster of bluegrass master teachers to include: Andy Hall (prolific dobro and lap steel guitarist and co-founder of the Infamous Stringdusters), Michael Daves (Grammy-nominated vocalist), Noam Pikelny (Grammy Award-winning banjoist and co-founder of the Punch Brothers), and a few exciting new instructors coming soon…

★ ABOUT ARTISTWORKS★
ArtistWorks online music lessons are recorded and taught by 37 world-renowned master musicians who not only have rich musical legacies but have a deep passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. Through the ArtistWorks platform, students have the unique opportunity to both learn at their own pace and also interact with and receive personalized feedback from our faculty of master teachers in the form of "Video Exchanges." ArtistWorks' patented Video Exchange Learning platform allows students to submit questions to our master faculty in the form of a video, and our instructors create personalized video responses full of guidance, encouragement, and critical next steps to facilitate improvement. Our teachers also provide notation, tablature, backing tracks, and other amazing supplemental materials to round out their holistic curricula in each course. Students can learn anything from acoustic and electric guitar to banjo, piano, mandolin, fiddle, saxophone, ukulele, how to sing—just about any instrument you can think of. And, our esteemed faculty teach everything from jazz to bluegrass to rock to classical and beyond!
