The Global Friendship Foundation is the founder of the Hungarian Festival in Sarasota.
The Hungarian Festival connects the Hungarian diaspora and people of Hungarian descent living in Florida and in other US states with the local community and Hungary. The mission of the Festival is to embrace ethnic and cultural diversity, bridge generations and offer invaluable contribution to the community by sharing cultural values and traditions of a tiny nation this far from its homeland.

Our annual Hungarian Festival in Sarasota helps us bring the amazing Hungarian culture close to many people over a weekend. Needless to say that being able to stay connected with our cultural roots is vital for us, thousands of Hungarians living in the Suncoast.
The two-day event is a celebration of the Hungarian cultural heritage through the many activities, games, music, shows and authentic Hungarian food. The program’s focus areas are the Hungarian culture and strengthening the interpersonal and cultural ties between Hungary and the US.
