5. Transform Plate Boundaries | Vivid Earth Science
The Vivid Earth Science Plate Tectonics series is a set of short, engaging videos that use informative graphics, animations, and clear student-friendly language to explore this important Earth Science topic and its historical development. Plate tectonics can be a challenging topic to teach and to learn. Let Vivid Earth Science help! These videos are ideal for classroom instructional use in grades 6-12, for flipped classrooms, or for review.
Each of the six videos was produced by a team of experts in geosciences and science education. An advisory board of outstanding classroom teachers provided their guidance and approval for each episode in this series and assisted in the creation of companion resources including a glossary of terms. Although created to align with science content standards in Texas (TEKS) and the United States (NGSS), these videos are a great introduction for anyone who would like to learn more about the subject. Check out other offerings from the Department of Geosciences and its Geoscience Studio (GSS) as well as the Department of Science/Mathematics Education in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Texas at Dallas.
