The Crisis in Legal Education and Its Impact on the Federal Courts

A panel of law school deans and professors, former judges, and an ABA task force representative explore the current crisis in legal education and its impact on the administration of justice. The confluence of increased student debt at a time of diminishing employment prospects has precipitated changes in law school curricula and how law students are trained. These developments continue to affect the work of the courts and judiciary, as well as the legal profession. The panel will consider the impact of these new models for educating our future lawyers on the diversity of the legal profession and the accessibility of legal services to all citizens. Prognostications for the future close the program.
